The Start of an Adventure:

When I was pregnant, I went through a crafting phase, of sorts. And I haven't been able to kick it yet. I follow so many crafting blogs, they're coming out my ears! I've been wanting to blog about some of the things I made, but never really got around to it. So I made a blog specifically for the stuff I've made/want to make/will make in the hopes that I actually do half the stuff I want to do. Someday.

So here's a few of the things I made while with child:

I'm not a painter, by any means. But I had a canvas, and a strong desire to paint something for the baby. So I did. I found a tree sillouette in Google Images, and used it for inspiration. to start, I painted the whole canvas brown. I let it dry, and then penciled on the big branches, and few of the smaller ones. Then I just let my imagination go. I pretty much just painted till I thought looked okay. Pretty easy. I did paint her name on the bottom right hand side (painting letters is the hardest thing ever), but when I took the picture, I didn't want to spoil what we were going to name her. So now it says Clara Rose on it. If I can find a picture (or remember to take one) with the name on it, I'll post that as well.

My mother-in-law sells jewelry (you can see some of it at http://sukijewelry.blogspot.com/) and does home shows. She was wanting to add a little variety, so I made her a few aprons. They modeled a few, and I hung some on the wall because a preggo lady in an apron is so not cute. Sadly, I gave a few of them away as wedding gifts before I remembered to take pictures of them. These are the few I do have pics of.

My sister-in-law was wanting some costumes for my niece's costume box. Brookie was in a Little Red Riding Hood phase, so one morning, I whipped up a little cape and hood for her. I made it long so she could grow into it. She loved it though!! It turned out really cute.

Using the same pattern, I made my older brother a cape and hood so he could be Obi Wan Kenobi for Halloween. I'm sure there's a picture somewhere of him wearing it.

Well, that's it for now. Perhaps I can build up some energy and motivation and make a few things for the blog :)
